Project overview
Battell Park needed reliable sun protection for a public gathering area without slowing a larger general-contractor schedule. We engineered a tensioned shade sail, sized the anchors for site loads, and supported Milestone Contractors through install so the park opened with the coverage the owner expected—on time and within contract limits.
Challenge
The city and GC needed professional shade that would satisfy owner expectations, fit the park layout, and finish inside an active construction schedule. Soft soils, public-use durability, and clean tension geometry all had to be resolved without change-order surprises.
Solution
We delivered a site-specific shade sail with engineered anchorage, proper pretension, and installation coordination for Milestone. The finished sail gives visitors usable midday shade and a clean visual presence that matches what the owner reviewed before install.
